Avicado on the Road
The Avicado team is excited to be back on the road in 2024! Here are some highlights from the first quarter.
Infraday:
We attended two Infraday conferences in February and March. Dan Moskowitz and Jason Fackler journeyed to Infraday Florida, while Josh Mesa and Mike Rubin headed to Infraday Texas. With a focus on infrastructure development, our teams connected with former colleagues and partners while participating in sessions on the impact of technology on the evolution of infrastructure.

CURT 2024 National Conference:
Nick Caravella and Christy Hunt spent time in Tucson, AZ meeting with Owners, Partners and Industry Professionals at CURT. From sessions on carbon emissions to discussions on how data can be used to help improve project outcomes, we always enjoy connecting with the industry.
Western Winter Workshop:
Christy Hunt headed towards the sunshine in Indian Wells, CA. She was able to catch up with some old colleagues and friends and participate in interesting discussions on topics like construction trends, resilience, emerging technologies in construction, how large events like World Cup or the LA Olympics can serve as catalysts for updating infrastructure and transportation.
Google Women Techmakers – International Women’s Day:
Christy Sheehan is a part of Google Women Techmakers and each year they plan an event for International Women’s Day. This year’s event took place in Austin, TX and was jam packed with thought-provoking talks, insightful panel discussions, and empowering workshops. The theme for the event was “Impact The Future” – honoring the countless women who paved the way and continue to push boundaries in the tech field.
